Hello! :)
So lets see, it has been 6 months since my last post. Yikes. You would think that the amount of time that I spend reading other people's blogs that I would be compelled to write one of my own every once in a while.
Anyway, let me get you up to speed. In February I started training with Team in Training for a marathon in San Diego on June 1, 2008. After 4 months of making great friends, training hard, and surpassing all of my running expectations, I finished my first Marathon on June 1, 2008 in 6 hours, 18 minutes and 48 seconds. I had hoped to complete the run in less time than this, but it will do for now. Well, it has to do for now.
I had a great weekend with my boyfriend, my sister and my brother in San Diego and while I missed certain people significantly (my parents, etc) we had a great weekend.
So, after taking two months off of running, I am happy to be back and training with the Fall 08 team of Team in Training. We are called team Oz and having a great start to our season. After our first Coached Saturday training last Saturday in San Ramon I think everyone is excited to get moving.
I am a little slow in getting set up with a donations page, but I will post it as soon as I have it.
Also... I am running the following events this fall:
San Jose Rock n Roll Half Marathon
Nike Women's Half Marathon
San Antonio Full Marathon
And I am excited to get more races under my belt. :)
Alrighty, that is going to be the end to this blog as I have to get back to what I was working on. Thanks! :)

Good Morning!
So, in the spirit of being healthier and fulfilling my goals, I have joined an organization called Team in Training. Team ub Training (TNT) is an organization that trains people how to run/walk/cycle their way through an endurance event, like a marathon, or a triathalon. The nice thing about TNT is that while they train people to do these events, those participants in the organization are responsible for raising a certain minimum that will go to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society (LLS). The LLS then uses the funds that have been raised to work on finding a cure for blood cancers (like Leukemia and Lymphoma) and providing support for patients with these cancers, to make living with them less painful and increase the survival rate. YAY!
So, I have joined this organization in hopes of running the Rock 'n Roll Marathon in San Diego on June 1. Now, I know that this is a stretch, seeing as though I have not run more than about 4 1/2 miles at one time.... ever, but I think that with the correct training, if I put my mind to this, I can do it!
I am posting my fundraising site below, so that if anyone reads this blog and is inclined to help me out with my fundraising, you can donate on the site. LLS guarenties that at least 75% of the money raised goes directly to the cause, which, if you have never looked at the admin percentage of a non-profit before, is pretty good! :)

Anyway, I am ending this blog there, thanks for reading.
